Their food is healthy, not so salty and greasy, they are ready to decorate, they have Vietnamese noodles, I believe they will get better and better
For all the times we have frequented this establishment, we have never once eaten inside. We have always done takeout. We ha e been going to abacus since 1996 and the menu hasn't changed much. We go for the quickness of eating dinner after we have forgotten to cook our own meal. Sometimes life is so busy that we look at our clock and can't believe it's 8pm. I use to talk to the original owner but has since retired and I heard that the younger generation is running things now. The food is always good and fast. I'm glad they are still there when we need them.
It was very hot yesterday but I was craving won ton soup and their version of general tao's chicken. I remembered that you can pay a dollar extra for all white meat. So that is what I got. Just what I wanted. I had stopped by White Jasmin but the older dude refused to provide me with a cup of water for my dog. So happy I chose Abacus instead. The young guy running the register and taking orders was so kind and caring, He even gave me an extra water without me asking for it. What a difference! Thank you abacus!
We had a wonderful dinner from Abacus and it will certainly be our go-to for Chinese. After living in the area for a year now we have somehow managed to never order Chinese, so we opted to try Abacus as they were listed on Uber Eats. After looking at the photos on Yelp, namely the cleanliness of the inside of the restaurant and some of the dishes, we gave it a go. We ordered steamed pork dumplings (my favorite item), Shanghai Wonton soup (pork and shrimp dumplings), Singapore Mei Fun noodles, and shrimp with seasonal vegetables. Every bite was incredible- the food was not oily or greasy, tasted fresh and were good portions. The Shanghai Wontons of note were particularly tasty. The Singapore mei fun also had a great curry taste. It was the first time I can think of eating Chinese that I didn't feel like I've eaten sugary oily sauces. I cannot really speak to delivery/time since it was thru a third party, but the food did appear to be prepared quickly. We will absolutely order again and will also consider dining in person!
